Project Objective:
Students will design a six-page magazine article layout for the Spring 2025 edition of Graphic Design USA Magazine, emphasizing typography, visual hierarchy, and user engagement. The project involves creating a compelling 4–5-page article accompanied by a well-integrated sidebar graphic, showcasing a balance of text, imagery, and white space for optimal readability. Utilizing advanced digital design techniques, students will incorporate strategic typography, dynamic layouts, and high-quality photography to produce a visually engaging and professional publication spread.
Concept Brief:
Photography and graphic design are distinct yet deeply interconnected fields, with photography serving as a powerful tool to enhance visual communication and elevate design. This project explores how photography integrates into graphic design, from capturing textures and colors to creating focal points and incorporating typography.
